I have taken my MGTF for servicing to Nick for 3 years now and found the service excellent. Unfortunately this year Nick picked up that the head gasket was on its way out and recommended an upgrade. He explained everything to me and I agreed the work should be done. He did an excellent job and provided full supporting paperwork which would help should I ever come to sell the car. It is difficult to find someone with so much knowledge as Nick so I have no hesitation in recommending Austin Garages.

Thanks to Jean for booking me in at short noticed and Nick for all his hard work. Nick repaired the sunroof mechanism on my Rover 827 Fastback and fixed a fault with the rear doors. I highly recommend Austin Garages to anyone who owns Rover, MG or British Leyland range of cars.

I took my tf 160 to Nick for a major sevice and mot last March, I was very pleased with the result. Nick is very knowledgeable and a great enthusiast for MG Rover. I will be contacting Nick for this years service ect.

Called Nick about a problem with my Rover 45 heater. He asked if i could call round in the afternoon even though he has a job on another car in progress .35 minutes after i arrived i was on my way home in a warm cosy car after Nick had performed his magic . He is a real life saver . I was totally stuck with a car without a heater and the freezing weather well and truly on its way. Excellent job Nick.

Nick solved the relay problem on my MG ZS 180 without any fuss or bother and very quickly. Excellent service from both Nick and Jean. I would use Austin Garages again without any hesitation. If you have a problem with the type cars they specialise in then take it to them, they know what they are doing. Highly recommended.

As with my reviews on other review sites Nick solved my cars problem where many had failed.his attitude was very professional and always let me know exactly what was what,i will not take my car anywhere else ,i found that the whole time i waited for my car was a like i had been going there for years,i am now a very happy customer.

Very pleased with the service I received from Nick and Jean. It's difficult to find many garages that can offer this level of competency and fantastic communication. I was extremely pleased with the work that had been done to my car and I was very impressed with the way that the work was shown to me and explained when I came to pick the car up. Nick is an absolute authority on all things MG / Rover and this shows in both the work he produces and the queue of cars awaiting his attention at the garage. Thanks also to Jean for keeping me informed every step of the way and for being on hand to answer calls and answer my queries - even during the festive season!

Why mourn the loss of MG Rover service centres when you can come to Austin Garages? Very happy with service - they've fixed problems that no-one else could diagnose (e.g. fuel supply issue, due to incorrectly fitted fuel tank by a local MOT centre). Recently made an excellent job fitting a new carb too.

Problem solving and diagnostic here is faultless...Nick put right some work even the main dealer garage got wrong!

Had it back now for a week after Nick done the head gasket replacing all appropriate parts to cure a really annoying oil leak (of all things), no leaks whatsoever and after resetting the cams (one tooth out) it drives like an absolute dream...I'm struggling now to see the difference between my 135 and my old VVC MGF!

Always thoroughly impressed with their work and the peace of mind you get from knowing your car is now going to be 100% reliable is reassuring on those long country lane drives!!

Another year and another major service and MOT on the Freelander undertaken by Nick and Jean. Simply excellent service yet again! Thank you

I have just had a head gasket done on my partners Rover 45 1.8 auto along with the service to bring the car in line with the rover service scedule.

I cannot complement Nick and Jean enough for the customer service given. Nick is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to any car made by the Austin Rover Group, this is not just a buissness or a job to Nick it is a passion. Every new car he works on gets the same care and attention.

To all those who own any type of Austin Rover car it is well worth traveling to this outstanding garage as my milage was 70 miles round trip but well worth it. YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET IN LIFE WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY.

It was absolutely worth bringing my MY2005 TF over from Germany to Jean and Nick :-)
The TF is running better than ever and I was once again amazed about Nick's knowledge.
Unfortunately in the end he found a creeping HGF, but better at the garage than on my way back
home.

This really is a first class outfit. Have used them to maintain the family motors for some years now and have never been less than highly impressed with the service provided. Nick's knowledge of all matters MG/Rover is comprehensive and his technical expertise considerable. With Jean they form an efficient and effective team that cares about service, sets high standards of workmanship and, as such, receives my wholehearted and unreserved recommendation.

Got myself a 10 year old TF recently from a work colleague who had been some what conservative with the servicing regime. The car had 17600 genuine miles when I took it over last April, but just to be sure, I found Austin Garages after a google search, who were just 16 miles from my home too.
Nick and Jean are extremely proffesional in their approach to looking after MG's. It's always a concern when leaving your car with a stranger and wondering what kind of problems will be found under the engine cover. Well I can honestly say that this Garage is a gem. The car had never been serviced in it's 10 year history....still running on it's original oil Nick suggested..! I had a full service with cam belt, additional software tweeks and a full breakdown of potential areas to check. I took Nick's advice and changed the battery, which my mate must have picked up cheap as it was the smallest option! Changed all 4 tyres and recently had the scratched, cracked rear plastic screen replaced with a gleeming heated glass version.
If you have an Rover MG that you cherish, then you can't go wrong at Austin Garages. Nick is extremly knowlegable with every aspect of the marque and Jean even offers a lift back to the local rail/bus station if you're leaving your vehicle.

Just returned from 2000 mile trip in Europe with the trusty caravan in tow the ZT.T did not miss a beat another testament to the care it gets from the team at Austin Garages.

A massive thanks to both Nick and Jean for the brilliant work they have done getting my ZS 180 back on the road after several years sitting idle in a garage. It makes a nice change to find a garage where you can be confident that your car is being given the best possible care. Nick is not only very knowledgeable about all things Rover always taking the time to explain any problems, but also clearly enthusiastic for the brand. The car runs brilliantly now, but it will be back to Austin Garages for its next service to ensure it stays that way.

Jean and Nick are delightful and totally professional in the service they offer.

I travelled a considerable distance to have my car serviced by Nick for the first time and he discovered something quite worrying that no-one else had noticed. This was all sorted out through considerable ingenuity and has reassured me greatly.

If you have an MG/Rover and want to keep it running as well and as safely as possible then you have found the right place in my opinion! Nick is a fount of wisdom about these cars - and is happy to share his depth of knowledge while explaining what he is doing and why.

This is not a place for a 'quick fix' but where you go to have your car looked after 'by the book'.

By far the best garage experience I've ever had.
